AO Spine Center Club Webinar
At the beginning of November 2020, we launched a new online event format: the AO Spine Centers Club. The idea was creating an opportunity for our spine centers to share their experience and their outstanding cases with our community. They also present their hospital center and their spine service as well as their current and former fellows. It is a very interactive webinar that has the scientific program created by the spine centers.
The first edition was on thoracolumbar trauma and had about 160 participants. It was in charge of three spine centers: the Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitación from Mexico City, Mexico, whose spine center director is Barón Zárate and fellows are Alvaro Fierro and Carlos Aguillar; the Hospital Militar Central from Bogota, Colombia, whose spine center director is Javier Matta and the fellows are Daniel Ojeda and David Florez; the Hospital del Trabajador from Santiago, Chile, whose spine center director is Vicente Ballesteros and the fellows are Gabriel Hernandez and Ignacio Farias. They brought great cases for discussion which allowed a highly interactive event.

Digital Education Training
From October 12 to November 8 took place our pilot project "Digital Education Training — DET". The program had 23 invited participants from 8 countries, all participants were AO Spine and AO Trauma members. The faculty group included Juan Emmerich (AR), as chairperson, Asdrubal Falavigna (BR), and Rodrigo Pesantez (CO).
According to Juan Emmerich, AO Spine Latin America chairperson, we developed an innovative and pioneering training to attend the educational needs of our teachers in this time of restriction for face-to-face events. "The training was highly interactive, with activities based on the needs of the participants, asynchronous and synchronous encounters, discussion in small groups and individual lectures".
The program had seven modules, including themes as adult education, flipped classroom, tools for online teaching, tips and tricks for online learning, how to prepare effective teams for webinars, key success factors to have an effective presentation, among others.
