GSJ new special issue
The Editors of Global Spine Journal are pleased to announce the release of the newest Special Issue Supplement, “Predictive Analytics & Cost Modeling in Spine Surgery”. This special issue led by Dan Sciubba and was sponsored by AO Spine North America.
The goal of this issue is to address the increasing costs of spinal surgery- and the desire to reduce costs but keep the value of spine care. Sciubba said, “Value is directly related to the technical or clinical benefit provided to the patient, often vaguely described as clinical outcome”.
The issue is divided into two parts. The first portion is devoted to the issue of cost containment and defining value within spine care. The second part of the issue addresses disease and surgery-specific predictive tools for spine surgery patients.
